Wall Street rallies on US jobless report
The US stocks market has closed Thursday with big gains as investors accepted the risky invitation from the better than expected Jobless claims report. Market is gaining confidence that the US recovery is on track. The DJIA rose for 10th straight day, first time since November 1996.
The Dow Jones rose 83.94 points or 0.58% to close the day at 14,538.99. The S&P 500 advanced 8.71 points or 0.56% to close at 1,563.23, 2 points shy of all-time high. The Nasdaq Composite added 13.81 points or 0.43% to close at 3,258.93, highest since 2000.
